Ever feel like there just aren't enough hours in the day? Same here! But I’ve found some simple tricks to help free up time and stay productive. Here are my go-tos:
1. Plan the night before – I use my Day Designer to list my top 3 priorities for the next day. It helps me wake up focused and ready to go!
2. Two-minute rule – If something takes less than 2 minutes to do, I do it right away. It keeps little tasks from piling up. I got this one from one of my favorite books, Getting Things Done.
3. Gratitude practice – Every night, I write down one thing I’m grateful for. It keeps me grounded and in a positive mindset.
4. Handle it once – Whether it’s email or paperwork, I try to deal with things only once. Saves so much time in the long run. This tip is another gem from Getting Things Done.

5. Turn off phone notifications – Interruptions during work can waste tons of time, so I turn off notifications and focus on the task at hand. When we get interrupted while working, it takes about 23 minutes (!!!) to get back on track, according to research from the University of California, Irvine.
I also love using timers (hello, Pomodoro technique!) to break up my day into productive sprints and batching similar tasks together to stay in the flow.
These little hacks have made a big difference for me—try a couple and see how much time you free up!
