Managing storage in a group home with 15 or even 13 residents can feel overwhelming, but I’ve got some simple tips that can help keep things organized and running smoothly. Let’s dive in!
Kitchen Storage Made Easy
When I first started my house with 15 people, we only had one fridge. As we grew, I realized we needed more space. So, I found 3 additional refrigerators on Facebook Marketplace—now we have 4! Each fridge has a designated area for different rooms, with clear signs like “Room 3 & 4 Only” to avoid confusion. Inside, we label shelves so everyone knows where to store their food.
And it’s not just the fridges! In the kitchen, every cabinet is labeled too, giving each resident their own space for dry goods. Organization is key!
Bedroom Storage Solutions
For bedroom storage, I’ve got under-bed storage (super affordable and easy to find online) to maximize space. Each bed has its own storage solution. I’m also considering adding footlockers and dressers for even more options.
If you want to go the extra mile, you can include stand-up armoires for extra storage. The goal is to make sure everyone has their own assigned space.
